The National Health Federation
(NHF) is providing the wake-up call for the World right now. Like the founders
of America, were the early voices not raised persistently and aggressively
compelling others of like-minded spirit to action there would be no America. NHF
is waging war on the front lines to protect the terrain of the human soil, the
modern battle-ground, and the terroir that influences the sanctity of our
bodies and our children’s bodies.

mightier than the sword. The economy, not weaponry, is the new criterion for a
superpower…In the future, it is clear that a superpower can maintain its status
only through economic might (versus weaponry as in the past), and that in turns
stems from science and technology.”

Kaku
alludes to a new warfare in his fine book, “Physics of the Future”; truly the
last terrain to conquer will be through science and technology. Historically,
warfare has captured land and resources. The new warfare seeks to conquer the territory
of the human soil. As with Lawrence of Arabia, who revolutionized modern
warfare by moving away from an annihilation approach but left a ragged,
demoralized band of soldiers in his wake that would never achieve the hero’s
welcome, so the UN, operating through
Codex Alimentarius on the global theater of war, knowingly or unknowingly, seeks
to infiltrate and attack the sanctity of the human being with contaminants,
additives, toxins, and to incapacitate or destroy us from within. The last great
battle is for the terroir of the human spirit, not a tract of land, although
Agenda 21 is one means to the end.
Maybe it is the fluoride in the
water making us passive. Maybe it’s the voting system in the States we all know
is rigged – our vote counts? We all know our food choices are a matter of
choosing the lesser of two evils in many cases: “This contaminant will kill me
and that additive may disable me more slowly…” Nothing is pure anymore. If it
isn’t sullied by the soil, it is polluted by the atmosphere. So we settle.
Mentally, we give up with a passivity that disappoints us and we decide it’s a
losing battle. Something intangible inside us began to die a long time ago and
we give up, “a little here, a little there” until “They’ve” won.
But we have more power than we think in the global arena. How can that
possibly be when State-side we are subject to the fixed polls and wondering if
our vote really counts? At Codex Alimentarius where guidelines and standards
are set for the World, it counts. If you use the powerful weapon of Voice,
if you are aware, if you help other Country delegates to understand the truth
that takes back the territory of health in the World versus simply fostering
increased World trade, harmonization, and padding the industry’s bottom
financial line, you can win this battle.

How NHF came to have a coveted seat
at Codex is really part miracle and part dogged tenacity; but, hey, the Red Sea
parted once and it has happened again. Through the Voice of reason, combined
with insistence and aggressively fighting for the truth and light, it is
possible to carry not only a nation but a World into a land where we have a
fighting chance to thrive and grow again.
This Voice of Truth, uttered by
President and General Counsel Scott C. Tips hundreds of times at Codex and in the press over the past 14 years, has
bypassed the desires of your governments’ myopic vision altogether and has been
able to spread the hopeful ripple of health to a World that needs hope- and
health.

So how is it that only one
health freedom organization came to occupy a seat as an International Non-governmental
Governmental Agency (INGO) at Codex and what has been the result that has
shifted the fate of the World’s food and drink supplies time and again? The
former is a topic for another article. The latter we saw as recently as NHF’s
attendance at the Codex Committee meeting on Food Additives (CCFA) in Beijing,
China in March 2013, where NHF spoke against aluminum and submitted research on
aspartame, which will be discussed next year in China. Aluminum is associated
with significant central nervous system toxicity and bone and liver damage and
research shows it is associated with Alzheimer’s which is increasing. The NHF
was the only health-freedom organization and the only
consumer organization present in a huge conference room at the Asia Hotel full
of Country delegates and INGOs.
But as the Iranian delegate advised
NHF, “Do you realize how hated you are here? You have a reputation for
aggressively fighting for what you want and writing about those who oppose
you.” In light of the fact that only once have I seen reporters at Codex – and
one of these times it was at NHF’s initiation that the American Free Press was
at a meeting where GMO labeling was supposed to be discussed and was shelved,
someone must write home and let the World know what really goes on behind
closed doors as the Country delegates parry with the sword of their words to
determine whether the health of nations will move forward or fall into further
defeat and decay. As it stands now, what goes on at Codex remains at Codex. What
you don’t know won’t hurt you – or will it?
In fact, if you’re like most of the World, you didn’t even know the
battle to conquer the terrain of your body was even been waged at Codex in
various locations all over World in different committee meetings month after
month steadily marching forward in the implementation of the global agenda.
Life-changing decisions are being
implemented at Codex that will impact you and your family’s health and you
might be one of the millions sleeping right through it like the good little
child the government demands. Do you want to be like this? Didn’t think so. Do
you want to feel powerless about your choices of food and drink? Didn’t think
so. You’ve worked hard, made the best choices for your family so to be reduced
to choosing between “the lesser of two evils” is completely unacceptable.
You have a potentially untapped
avenue you may not have even been aware of – NHF, which faithfully advances to
the front lines of every debate that impacts your health and health freedom to
speak for you. Time and again … enjoying a great reduction of melamine in your
food supply is just one example where NHF was battling to the death while you
were possibly completely unaware. Melamine, the compound in cookware, eating
utensils, and the deadly contaminant in infant formula and dog food that
appeared to increase the protein content and instead increased the death and
serious injury toll among humans and animals alike, was put down by an
initiative launched solely by NHF. That Codex meeting in 2009 saw a silent World
prepared to accept current levels of the deadly melamine until NHF launched the
attack against it and the Country delegates were roused from their stupor and
joined in. Did you read this stunning victory in the API or see it on the
nightly news the next day? No. But NHF has been quietly, diligently, and
faithfully going about its work since 1955 on your and your family’s behalf.
Sometimes you’ve been aware,
sometimes if you’re like most of the World, you are not. Sometimes your
donation allows NHF attendance at a Codex meeting, and sometimes the lack of
funding means a loss of NHF’s ability to be present to speak for you and a
sacrifice of global health and health freedom because of it. Sometimes, being
present isn’t enough when the funding hasn’t been in place to prepare the
educational and tactical ground for launching a successful offensive as in the
case of Ractopamine (the steroid-like drug given to pigs and other food
animals), which was lost in Rome, Italy in July of 2012.
The defining moment, however, is
realizing it is never too late to wake-up, to show up, to participate in
defending the last human frontier from the degradation being waged against its
integrity. We all can have, sooner or later, our “Sleeping Beauty” moment when
our eyes are opened as we wake to the reality of this unspoken and largely
hidden war. We will either be full of gratitude that NHF has been battling it
out for over 55 years or we will leave what we’re doing and sign on to be a
part of this last great war against the soil of the human terrain. Or, we’ll
have an epiphany and do both, feel grateful and let it move us to action and
participation.
The important strategy is taking
our power back. We tell the World that we will no longer choose between the
lesser of two evils – the Trojan Horse that we know will destroy us from within and ultimately kill us.
This is exactly what happened in March 2013, in Beijing, China, when NHF
decided the projected increase of (aluminum-mediated) Alzheimer’s by 2050 was
simply ludicrous in this day and age of technology and intellectual advancement
and that there was no excuse for it anymore.

President Tips spoke two dozen times opposing
aluminum in its numerous and various forms but also in achieving reductions
that may give some vulnerable populations a fighting chance to hold their
health. Then he took to task the industry that declared their (hopelessly
outdated) equipment would catch on fire during the manufacturing process unless
they continued to use the toxic “anti-caking” aluminum. His logical solution
presented to the Country delegates and INGOs was to create new equipment. We
all know our electronics are outdated in a year and we move to the next
generation. The Codex Working Group Chairman sided with industry, reprimanding
NHF for even suggesting such a thing! The health of the World is once again
sacrificed as cannon-fodder on the front lines of the war machine moving
roughshod right over it.
It turns out, too, that the Committee
Chairman Chen has made multiple trips to the U.S. before this meeting to
consult with U.S. officials. The same U.S. that sided continually with
Australia that never seems to choose health despite the stated goal of Codex, “The stated purpose of this Codex committee
meeting is to protect the health of consumers in regards to food and drink.” The
point being, you have a champion and an advocate in NHF. Your checkbook will thank
you later when you avert financial ruin forking over thousands of dollars to
care for your loved ones in an
Alzheimer’s unit “the concentration camp of the new millennium.” What a convenient way to house thousands of
people.
It is time you realize how powerful
you are. If you thought you lost it State-side, flex your Voice in a display of
militant-might on the front lines, which is the global theater of war called
Codex through the vehicle of NHF. NHF will represent your desires, your needs,
and your demands by speaking consistently for health and protecting your health
freedoms.

Let NHF hear from you! Let us know what you need and what you want for your
